As we wind down to the 2012 elections, it is important that citizens have as much information as possible about those people for whom they will be voting. Therefore, we will begin posting information about individual candidates.
We will do our best to provide information that is outside the Main Stream Media — you can find that on your own. We do not say that we will give equal time to the candidates. Our purpose is to provide information that you can use in vetting a candidate. How much is provided for each candidate will depend on what we decide is informative and interesting.
We’re not in the “fair and balanced” mode – we will ”throw it all out there and let the chips fall where they may.” Candidates is a tough category because feelings run high either for or against — if you don’t like a post, be an adult and just move on. That’s what free speech is all about. And, of course, you are welcome to post a comment — just keep it civil.
We do not and will not ENDORSE candidates — that’s your job. May God bless this country and give us the wisdom to choose moral and wise leaders.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry is dropping out of the presidential race, according to a report from CNN.
Perry, who trails GOP frontrunner Mitt Romney badly and fared miserably in the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary, is telling supporters he will drop his bid for the nomination, according to CNN.
The Texas governor entered the race in August to much fanfare and immediately topped polls. But a series of disastrous debate performances, including one in which he failed to remember the three government agencies he had promised to close as president, left him behind the GOP pack.
Rasmussen polling shows Mitt Romney leading in South Carolina, while Newt Gingrich is in second place and closing. It’s also interesting, however, to note the Republican candidates’ respective levels of support among Tea Party and non-Tea Party voters in what will be the first Republican-leaning state to host a 2012 GOP primary. 150 social conservatives, activists vote to back Rick Santorum By Bernie Becker
A group of conservative activists decided Saturday to throw its support behind Rick Santorum in the battle for the Republican presidential nomination.
Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council and a spokesman for the group of 150 activists, said that a “strong consensus” emerged for the former Pennsylvania senator after a three-ballot process.
Perkins said that Santorum got more than two-thirds support from the activists in the final ballot, in which he faced off against former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. Gov. Rick Perry of Texas also received considerable support from the group, Perkins added. Read the story here.
